    Great Sound, Little Device

I had to get used to the little size, but after that it does well for workouts, and yard work. The clip is handy. With the adjustable sound level (high or normal), it has great sound at all volume adjustments. The battery life isn't as good as I expected, so I bought a wall charger. Overall, a nice device to load & play.

    Nice MP3 Player

I bought this MP3 for my mother for a train trip we were taking so she could listen to music. It was nice and simple for her to use, as she doesn't like anything too complicated. The only bad thing was it alphabetized CD tracks so it messes the order. I did find that if you go into folder, then internal memory, then music, it has them in the proper order.

    Very Good MP3 Player

My main device is an Android tablet--kind of awkward for playing music--so I picked up this SanDisk unit. It sounds good, is easy enough to use and reasonably priced. Since I don't carry around a lot of music, I was glad to learn that this supports WAV (uncompressed, CD quality) files, which make my music sound extra clear. (Had I known, I would have bought the 8GB version.) I think the interface is a little clumsy, both the software and the buttons, but it didn't take too much getting used to.

The sound quality is good. It is easy to clip on and go and enjoy music as my DH walks or works on the computer. He is impressed by how many songs he is able to download to it and it still have more room. Drawback, The instructions are not very clear as to how to download music, power-up, change volume, ect. These were figured out through trial and error and looking up the information on the internet.

This mp3 player is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something small to take to the gym and this mp3 was perfect. The mp3 player is so light that I didn't even know it was there. I honestly forgot which pocket it was in because it was so light. It does not just play mp3s. It also does audiobooks and has an FM radio built in (which you can record live radio songs you might like and can replay them at your leisure). The only down side is that it has a small screen, but any screen is good on a small mp3 player like this (vs the iPod shuffle). Also, the headphones are very average, but they serve the purpose that I needed. If you are an audiophile, you may want to get new earbuds. But other than that, it was perfect!

Great product for the price. Bought this to replace my daughter's old one after she washed it the THIRD time. Very durable. My only complaint is that this version does not record from the radio.

    Great MP3 Player!

I've never owned an MP3 player before, but was missing out on all the great opportunities to listen to my favorite programs via Podcasts. In short, the MP3 player is awesome. For a novice, it was incredibly easy to figure out. It was more difficult figuring out how to use I Tunes. I really like the fast forward function! It allows you to fast forward to the middle of a 60 minute talk in seconds. All you need to do is remember where you were with the minute counter. The sound is awesome, too! For $40.00, you can't go wrong. The screen is small, but adequate for reading the text as it scrolls across. The player was set up very "logically" and so it is pretty user friendly.

    Good for Windows

This is the second Sansa I have bought - wanted the second one to keep handy in the car. It works fine and is easy to use as long as you're working with Windows. A Mac doesn't recognize it, so you'll have to load it through Windows Media Player. The absolute best feature is that it will take a Micro Disk and expand the memory. This is the only MP3 that has this feature. I have an 8g in one and a 16g in the other. For the price, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

bought this player for my 5yo daughter for Christmas and she loves it. we loaded all of her favorite songs on it, and the fm radio is a plus. only thing I could say against it is that the ear buds, even with three cover sizes included, didn't fit her ears well.

This is an ok mp3 player for the money, especially if you get it on sale. It's kind of a hassle to use with a Mac because it doesn't like mp3's created by iTunes. It doesn't recognize the albums and it can take up to five minutes to start playing a music file. In the meantime the player is locked up while it's trying to read the file. The solution is to use some other freeware, like xACT to create mp3 files which it reads just fine. I suspect this isn't a problem on Windows computers using Windows Media Player. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is the sound quality. If you've used an iPod, you won't be happy with the sound quality. And the better your earphones, the more you'll notice the poor quality. You can fuddle with the equalizer to improve it a bit, but it still comes up short even compared to my seven year old Creative Labs mp3 player. On the plus side, it's really tiny and light, and you can add an 8gb micro SD card for more memory. On the other hand, that tiny display is really difficult to read. It has some other nice extras like a stop watch, FM radio, and a standard micro USB connector.

Flexibility, Quality and Value in a small package.

This is a great MP3 player in a small package. Besides great fetures (FM radio, voice recording, and easy to understand functions) the ability to record thousands of songs on SD cards means flexibility in the music I choose to listen to. I have an SD card for oldies, another for country, and another for Mexican music. I can switch music in a few seconds.

Could be a 5 star product with lock

    Posted .

BIG negatives No lock feature, positioning of power button, shuffle feature inadequate, I've owned 5 of the previous Sansa clip 2GB earlier versions & loved them. I run marathons so my MP3's get a lot of use & wear out quickly. I had used the last 2GB MP3 I had stashed & had to find a new one quick for an upcoming race. I stuck w/ the brand that I knew & bought this one. I read previous reviews about the lock button. I often carry my Mp3 so I can scroll through a song I'm bored with or not in the mood for, so I didn't think the lack of a lock button would bother me.....wrong! I just finished a 1/2 marathon w/ this new device & hated it. The buttons on this new version are so sensitive, even the cord from my headphones barely tapping against it would change the channel. During my 2 hour run the channel changed 1/2 dozen times by barely moving/touching it. It really sucked. My previous version had raised buttons that you actually had to press down on & heard a tiny click to change channels. I never ran into this issue with that one. I can't see how anyone would be able to exercise with this device unless you don't mind your song changing 1/2 way through on a regular basis. If you plan to sit in your easy chair with your MP3 on the table next to you this might be a good pick for you. Otherwise it stinks. The other thing I didn't like was the on/off button was right in the middle. My previous version had a slide on/off button on the side. The problem w/ the front button is if you put your device in a gym bag it could easily be bumped on w/o knowing & kill the battery. The other thing I noticed was the shuffle feature is terrible on this device. I downloaded apx 350 songs on this, and I had at least 6-7 songs repeat w/in a 2 hour time. This is unacceptable to me. I beg you Sansa, PLEASE revamp this device to include a lock & go back to the old design for the buttons. This device is going back to Best Buy & the hunt begins for a new option!

Got this MP3 player for the convenience of having music while at the gym working out. It works great, is easy to use, and its clip keeps it handy but out of the way during exercise. Battery life is good and screen is bright and easy to see. Have had no malfunctions or problems of any kind with my little Sansa player. It's very handy to be able to boost its 4GB internal storage with a micro SD card. I added 8GB this way and it's easily accessible.

It's easy to use and also one of the few SanDisk players that is compatible with Rhapsody. The screen is a little smaller than I'd like, but it gets the job done.

I've really only used this in my car with the Aux hook up. It works very well. I'm a first time MP3 user so I don't do much other than download music and hit 'shuffle'. The sound quality is great and the player itself is incredibly user friendly. Wonderful little gadget!!

This is the third one I have gotten. I gave the first one away to a musician who fell in love with it and I have two others. One is dedicated to recordings I love and the third is for live recordings of rehearsals of voice and theater. The microphone can be overwhelmed by loud sounds and buzz but that is easy to fix by placing the MP3 player farther from the source(s). I have several other devices including I-pods but this is the handiest size. I love this little MP3 player and take one everywhere with me.

I wanted something small to load my audiobook files on. This suits the purpose perfectly. It utilizes micro memory cards for plenty of room for files. Music doesn't sound as good, but I love being able to carry and listen to my books in a tiny package with room for more! It has a very reasonable price tag, too!

Great MP3 player it last a long time we listen to stories on them. Can't even get a little wet without damaging it. It's a little bit touchy on the screen but other than that it's a great player
