It smallness which makes it great, also is a great liability because the battery is so small and doesn't last long. It takes many hours to charge on my lap top (only computer I have) and never shows that it's full. Battery meter shows half full one minute, and it's dead the next.

bought one and headphone jack didnt work. returned it and purchased a second one and had same problem

purchased for my daughter. Set up, connection and transfering music has been more of a challenge than my personal mp3 player

My iPod finally gave in and i thought I'd get an MP3 with the necessities. This one works great and has radio, great sound quality, light, the clip in really handy and the fact that you can upgrade the memory with a micro sd is great. It doesn't have a lot of awesome features but if you're like me and only need it for music it is great.

Was great, until it decided to not boot up anymore. Played music great. Took longer to charge.

After 4 hours of frustration, I took back the SanDisk 8MG Fuze which has a keypad which totally confused me. This Clip Zip has a much better set-up. I downloaded the latest firmware and a few tunes and I was enjoying the music 5 minutes out of the box. The sound is excellent with a wide variety of equalizer settings for everyone's individual taste. The FM radio works well and easy to save stations. Highly recommend this SanDisk Clip Zip over the Fuze...the sound is excellent from both, but ease of operation makes the Clip Zip the one to buy.

Average mp3 player. Buttons are nice, easy to operate. Not touch sensitive. Scrub control (fast rewind or fast forward) is horrible. You also can't hear anything while scrubbing. It is silent while scrubbing. Example: If you want to hear over again a guitar solo you like. You scrub backwards by holding down the button. You can't hear anything either so you don't know if you passed the part of the song you like. It is very slow, which means slow processor. Pros: drag and drop from computer to device. Lightweight. A little on the cheap plastic feel. Buy the smallest size gb. Then go buy a micro sd card with 30gb.

I attend meetings and conventions that broadcast on FM for in building listening for those hard of hearing. While I'm not hard of hearing(yet), I like recording these discourses so I can listen and benefit later from the program and also provide recordings for our friends who were sick and unable to attend. I bought this mp3 player with the hopes that it could replace my aged iRiver iFP-899. The only feature I really miss is being able to change the recording quality to 'low' since I'm recording the spoken word not music. The only thing I would change about this purchase is I would get the 8 GB since it should hold all three days of our annual convention. FYI's Doesn't record onto microSD card or allow moving of recordings to the microSD card. Takes 4 seconds or so to start a new recording. (I do this between discourses) Needs to be charged after a long day of use. Enjoy :)

I have had several different MP3 players in the past several iPods and a Sony, this unit is much easier to use and has some features that the more expensive units didn't. I cant find anything to complain about and believe me that is rare. I would highly recommend this unit .

I have had a Sansa MP3 player for several years and wanted one with more storage. Got one of these for Christmas and found that the headphone jack only works intermittently. You have to hold it perfectly still without moving the cord. Tried different headphones and speakers--same problem. Exchanged it for another one--same problem! Must be a bad batch, since I see others posting that they like it. I'm bummed, because I like this unit and its price point. I don't want a huge expensive device. After two problems though, I'm probably looking elsewhere.

I love my new MP3 which I use at the gym and in my car. My only complaint is the shuffle feature, which doesn't seem to shuffle all of my music. I'll hear one song or a few songs off one album repetitively, while I haven't heard any songs from the majority of the 200 CD's contained within! My SanDisk shuffle has good and bad days, but I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason!

I've had several MP3 players and they all have quit working in one way or another before I had them for a year. I've had this player for over 3 years and it's still cranking out tunes. If I have to buy another one for some reason, it will be a SanDisk Clip.

My experience with the Clip Zip has been nothing short of disappointing. I've had it for not quite a month now and have found that the alleged 15-hour battery life is a pipe dream. Five hours seems to be the maximum. More importantly, the volume controls no longer work, so the player is stuck at full volume. I checked out the official SanDisk forum and found that there is no fix for this problem other than a complete replacement. After less than a month? That's joke territory. I've already ordered a replacement from another manufacturer and will seek a refund for this. One positive thing that I really like about this player is how you can switch from listening to a podcast to a song and go back to the podcast and it will pick up from where you left off. This is all unfortunate because I still have an old SanDisk mp3 player that I purchased around 2005-2006 that still works quite well. It's just too primitive for everyday use.

This is the second SanDisk I have returned. The first one ($40 one) had a broken female plug within the player. So I thought I would try the more costly one. Received the 3rd week of July and it stopped working on 08/03/2013. I was using it while I did some yard work, and it stopped working. I figured maybe the battery was dead. Using the supplyed USB cable I tried to recharge the battery. Nothing happened. No idea what the problem is but both Sandisk MP3 players are junk. Now looking at buying a Sony. I have a older model and it's still running great after serveral years. I just hope that other buyers had better luck then me.

I was happy with the player until I gor a fair amount of music and audiobooks on it. When I tried to search songs or books by artist or author, I coudn't do it. After 45 min on line with tech support, they told me it wasn't designed to search by anything but title. No other player I've had has this limitation. Poor design! I finally took it back and got an iPod

I've had six Sansa Clip Disks, and I'm done. The first one wouldn't transfer my music. The second one died after six weeks. The third one lasted two years, but the title screen died. The fourth one's head phone jack went out after six months. The battery life on my fifth one and my current one have both routinely flatlined for two to three days at a time. I buy MP3 players to have music - not to have to go without it. And I've had to "go without" it too much with the Clip Disks. I've had a Coby MP3 player, and I'm going back to Coby. Goodbye, Sansa Clip Disk. Go bother someone else.

First off, i didn't want to drop $100+ on an Ipod for something I just use in the gym. My first was a 4 GB, and it made it about a year of 3-4 day a week 1 hr each time use. Figure for the price wasn't so bad. The second didn't make it a full 2 months of very little use before the display went out, the battery completely went south and was inoperable since. Ive move on to a Sony, and never been happier. Im not sure why Best Buy would cary this sub par brand, it's JUST NOT worth the month you save.

Purchased this on April 6, 2013 and it quit responding about 1 week ago. I couldn't advance or go back to other songs. I reset it and it worked for a couple of days, and then the same thing happened. Worst MP3 I've ever owned. Best Buy won't take it back because I'm past 15 days. I'll contact SanDisk, but now this has cost me a lot of time, caused me aggravation, and I'm out a bunch of cash for something that didn't even make it to 30 days. I'm not happy with Best Buy or San Disk.
