i was in the store for something else and saw this 256GB on sale for 35$. i asked a salesman what's wrong with it? nothing, he said. how can they sell it for this cheap? best buy has sales. i bit, came home, and told my girlfriend about this great deal. she was not interested. till next day, when she wanted to transfer all her pictures from one computer to another. she meekly asked if she could borrow it. it worked just fine. next day she bought 2. when i told my buddy, he bought one too. my new laptop has a 256GB sshd. i just doubled my hd space for 35 bucks. don't hesitate. buy this!

Tons of storage at fast speeds. I love SanDisk drives and was thrilled to see this size available at such an affordable price. Highly recommend it!

This 256GB device seems to be on sale at other retailers for about the same price, must be because it's only USB 2.0. Still a very good backup device, holds an obviously large amount of data. yes it formats to around 231GB I believe, not 256GB, but that's how Windows assigns it with what's left. Others have reviewed this and explained this smaller data capacity so I won't do it here. USB 3.0 would be much faster, yes of course. But if you're looking for a large backup source, for a really reasonable price, this may be what you need.

I took over 500 pics on my vacation and wanted to save them all!! (the really good ones were copied from Flash drive to show my friends) It is easy to use and will hold many, many more pics before I can use up the 256GB.

A great amount of storage in a compact, well priced flash drive!!! Hope prices like this hold. Forget large, bulky external hard drives.

Pretty fast transfer time, stores plenty. Solid build. Well, WELL worth it especially on "Deal of the Day" as it was about 30 bucks.

I like these large size San Disk USB units. I use them when I am on any trip. I always take my lap top so after I take photos I transfer them to my pc, then immediately move them to my USB disks. I have lost too many photos. Now I don't. I take tons of photos. After downloading them it saves them until I can get home. SanDisk is the only brand I will use. I have had too many malfunctions with some of the off brands.

USB 2.0 is on the slow side compared with the newer USB 3.0. But if all you need is data storage on the go, such as Microsoft Word or Excel docs, it is plenty enough. It is cheaper than the USB 3.0 flash drive. The existing Scandisk 3.0 Vault software on the flash drive seems to conflict with the newer updated Vault . Instead of updating, it is easier to Format the existing Scandisk 3.0 on the flash drive, download the newer one from Scandisk on line.

Easy and safe quick way to share hundreds of photos, including RAW images, with relatives living in Maine. Will be able to use this to send photos back and forth for years to come.

Purchased solely for the storage capacity. Its quick, compact and does the job. Just purchased a 2nd!

Love this Flash Drive! Has plenty of storage space for documents, pictures etc. 256 GB allows me to store a lot of stuff without having to carry several USB flash drives.

Mainly purchased so I wouldn't have to carry my external hard drive around with me. I have stored all my photos on here and there is plenty of room for more. Great product.

I wanted to have a couple large thumb drives for backup of my important PC files. I already had another 256 gbyte drive (Not Sandisk) and at the price of these two, couldn't pass it up. I tried out one drive and it worked fine and could transfer files in and out with no problem The other drive couldn't be recognized by my computer. I tried a laptop and same thing. Took the bad one back to Best Buy yesterday and a replacement will be sent by mail in a few days at no extra cost. I'll wait and see if this new one works!

Good USB flash drive for its price. Lightweight and easy to carry. Price is affortable but speed is not fast. Great choice for those whom don't care about transfering speed. If you have large files which only write once for reading only then this is a very good one.

This particular SanDisk - Cruzer 256GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is one of the best ones on market with a great reliability, plenty of space to download one;'s multi files with descent speed and effectiveness. I have never been disappointed with any Sandisk Flash Drive products ever. I would strongly recommend this item to anyone needing an effective flash drive to back up his, or her files.

My primary means of keeping my files with me. I do back up on the weekends, but for day-to-day convenience, this has worked very well. Lots of space.

I've owned many Sandisk Cruzer thumb drives over the years. Picked this 256 GB one up on a flash sale for $34.99, so it was a great value. Speed isn't as fast as USB 3.0 but more than adequate for backing up / transporting some files in the 1-3 gig range every so often. Happy with the purchase and these larger capacity ones are worth keeping an eye out for a flash sale.
