We are using an application to automatically encrypt the USB drive as soon as it is inserted into the computer. Once encrypted, the user can copy files to the device and transport them securely. These work well and are the perfect size to meet our needs.

Hard to find item.

I was looking for a 2 GB drive but you just can't find a quality smaller thumb drive. Everything is 64 GB up to half a terabyte. And I certainly did not want a "dollar store" inferior drive. So, I ended up with a 8 GB drive. A little overkill but the right price for what I wanted.

Works fine, really a commodity item

I needed the cheapest 8GB storage I could find, this fit the bill as it was cheapest advertised on Best Buy that day. Works great, loaded it with home movies and pictures of a friend's birthday for her kids, worked fine on a PC and on a MAC.

I use it and other flash drives in my hub as memory storage rather than storage on the computer hard drive. If the hard drive fails I do not loosed my data because it is on the flash drive. Would like to find a source for 4 Gig flash drives as they are ideal to transfer small files to colleagues.
