This is a great product but why the mid rating? It is not for me because when using one of my photos programs, it does not allow me to continuously shift from one to the next with arrows and view them. I had to close one and then open another one and so on. Other than that, it is a very secured external hard drive.

A little pricey but it does the job. It would be best to wait until it is on sale.

I recently bought this product and i am very disappointed with lack of information on how it works, the product manual which is a pdf file is only a few lines about how to install even then then does not explain things fully. 1. it never talks about if you upload files by using add files it works differently than if you drag and drop where it asks if you want to delete the original file from the source and if you want to permanently/securely remove the file and if you by accident say yes it delete the file/folder from your computer which does not ask you the same question if you drag and drop. In drag and drop option the window where you can drop the folders in rans out of space where you cannot drop folders into the window and your only options is go through the file menu and choose add file/folder manually. But most importantly after uploading all my files when i go back to look at my files in the sandisk you cannot see any of your files and i assume is because they are encrypted but then i dont see an option to provide credentials that i set up to access the files. I even tired to disconnect and reconnect the drive thinking that i would be prompted to login to the drive, but NO such luck. The manual does not talk about how to access your files nor does sandisk site and all their product specs and description is very limited and not helpful. very little information as how to operate this drive and trouble shooting steps. I am stock and need to contact the sandisk support but you only get to fill out a form to get help. so we will wait. what a waste of time and money need to return it for lack of usability and intuitive interface. why not have a good manual to go with this product is incomprehensible

Bought this unit for external storage. Returned this product for a Samsung T7 ssd

I bought two of these 1TB and 2TB the 2TB died on me in under 2 months. The drive is fast nice small awesome but it did die. Contacting Sandisk to get replacement. One bad thing about this is the cord. i dont mind it short, but because its so short sometimes the drive does not lay flat next to your laptop. Since I have 2 of these drives, one of the cord allows my drive to lay flat the other leaves the drive standing on its side.

This is an excellent external hard drive. I’ve had had 2 of them for a while now. I wouldn’t replace them with anything else because they last. They pack easy, hook up easy and transfer fast. I would recommend them to everyone!

Within 40 days of purchase, the hard drive is corrupted. When I search for files they don't appear although the file is actually on the drive. No purchase protection from BEST BUY is a clear warning that not even they stand behind this product! Buyer beware!

The drive is as slow as any spinning disk, unreliable, as it is quite often not recognized by the same computer that formatted it. I definitely would not spend almost $500 for this disk again.

Fragile. The usb part is very easy to bend. Broke within a month.

I purchased this to download files photos music etc from my iPhone. I called sandisk and even watched utube how to videos which were not much help at all. Sandisk basically says it’s not made for phones.

I like the size and it’s really fast. The 2 TB is perfect for me
