    As much reliable as a wallet. You can put in and out stuff daily, but after some time, maybe a short time, maybe long time, it will wear out and fall into pieces, loosing all it's contents. Do backups of everything you care. Do backups of those backups. Keep different backups on different media possibly in different locations. Do not buy el cheapo no brand sd cards. An sd card paid four bucks is worth four bucks or less. It will die faster on you.
