I absolutely love this portable SSD hard drive! A year ago, I purchased a HP Pavilion x360 laptop for working at clients (since it’s powerful but small and compact). The SSD drive on the laptop wasn’t very large and could not be expanded. So, I needed a travel portable drive that was uber fast and large enough to contain all my files on my home computer. This fits the bill! I can back up/overwrite files in a matter of minutes between my home laptop and the SanDisk. And it’s small and compact so it doesn’t take up any room in my backpack. I absolutely love it. There’s only one drawback. You have to download this program from SanDisk in order to permanently delete files on the SanDisk Extreme. I found out the hard way that this was required (do not try to just delete files from the disk directly. The files may not show on your directory BUT the space is still occupied with the files which is weird). If it wasn’t for this, the review would be a solid and deserving 5 stars. But, it’s well worth the money (especially if it’s on sale).

I wanted a ssd storage to save all my photos from my samsung s22 ultra which took up alot of space since they are in 4k sometimes 8k. So i found this ssd storage that was on a deal and was able to buy the 1tb. The transfer speed is SUPER FAST even with my photos and my 4k videos. glad i got one that is ver reliable.

I bought this SSD External to add space on my new iMac and it really does the trick, added plenty of storage for all of my files, videos & photos and I got it at a great price! And the data transfer speeds are extremely fast, I transferred about 250 GB's in less than 10 minutes.

This is the fastest Portable USB Hard drive I have ever used. It is made by Western Digital who owns SanDisk. WD is known for making one of the most reliable hardrives in the industry. It comes with a USB Type C to USB Type A dongle for use on devices with older USB Type A ports. It also had a 5 year warranty. I would highly recommend this Sandisk SSD Portable USB drive to anyone who wants the fastest Portable USB Hard drive and the lightest one I have ever used. It works with the Xbox one X and the Xbox Series S & X. You can't install Xbox Series S or X games on it.. you can only install Xbox One, 360 and original Xbox games.

I light the small size, light weight, and it is fast. with the short cable (6 inches) provided it works well with a laptop on a table. However, with the short cable it has to just hang when connected to my desktop. Otherwise a great product.

I have had this ssd for a while now and I love it highly recommend no issues what’s so ever!

I have dropped two rotational discs, rendering them useless. While I do use cloud storage, there are times when I cannot access the cloud (on some flights, in some foreign countries, in rural areas without high speed internet, etc.), so I bought this drive. Being solid state it is very fast. I recommend connecting it with its (supplied) microUSB cable and not through a microUSB-to-USB-C converter. I saw transfer speeds in excess of 50Mbs. I transferred a 3.2GB folder with 7,330 files in less than 17 seconds. Very happy with this disk

The hard drive is very versatile and equipped to handle all my documents and data.

Works great! Used as a Time Machine external backup drive with a new Apple MacBook Air M2. Have used SanDIsk Extreme for my other MacBooks too.

Needed external drive for weekly backup for Surface Pro. Convenient USB-C to USB-C cable.

Wow these are good have plugged into Mac air (which has low memory) and am able to run games good of this

I got this to backup my wife's MacBook Air, to transfer to a new computer. The drive worked great. I like that it has USB-C and comes with an adapter to connect to old USB connectors. As long as you connect this drive to a Thunderbolt3/USB-3.2 connector, you'll be able to get the best performance. I may even buy one of these drives for my Xbox Series X to load/play Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Xbox (original) games (note: you cannot play Xbox Series X/S games from this drive, though you may save them and copy them to the internal drive).

Super flexible and on the go. I use it as external hard drive for my Mac mini.

This is a great SSD. It was a lot smaller than I expected and very thin. The only annoying thing is there are 3 versions of this same 1TB SSD so be sure to look at the transfer speed specs before pulling the trigger. There’s a 550mbps version, a 1000mbps, and 2000mbps version which are all named SanDisk Extreme. This version is the NVMe 1000mbps with USB 3.1 but there’s also a USB 3.2 version which is faster. I transferred a 900mb video from this SSD to my Moms iPad Pro and it was so fast that I thought the file never transferred. Excellent price and great product from Sandisk.

It’s very fast and very solid construction. I’m using it as a mobile device for Video and audio and it’s fast enough to work off it

Using this as an external drive for PS5 and so far it's working well. I'm kinda' partial to Sandisk/WD products for storage, as they generally give you a good bang for your buck. I have this attached to one of the rear Superspeed USB ports on my PS5 and have dedicated it to PS4 titles. So far, the few games I've played from it run very well. On initial connection, the drive was immediately recognized as external storage, formatted quickly and was ready to go. Very satisified so far with this purchase.

I've been using this drive for the better part of a year at this point. I transfer a lot of large audio and video files back and forth between a design machine (laptop) that I take home and a production machine that's rack mounted. The file transfer speed blows me away every time, taking just seconds to transfer many gigs of data. The small form factor makes it convenient to carry in my laptop bag. It also comes with a USB-A to USB-C adaptor allowing it to be used on machines with legacy USB ports.
