Amazing SSD for a videographer. Bought this for a project 4 hours away from home. The other videographer uploaded their footage and mailed it back to me. It arrived in great shape and still use it a year later

Initial experience has been that this is a super compact, light weight but quality built SSD. I am using this as a backup drive for a MacBook Pro and was deciding between this and the Extreme Pro because of speed. This one has been more than fast enough and I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra money.

Purchased the Sandisk Extreme Portable 1TB External to transfer RAW photo files from 2019 MacBook Pro 16" to 2020 iMac 27". Phenomenal! Speed is incredible on both upload to drive and download from drive. Very small, about 2"x4", and durable. Rubberized backing prevents drive from sliding on desktop. Couldn't be more satisfied.

This external SSD is a great tool to have in your laptop bag. I carry this one with me whenever I go mobile with my laptop. I have been able to use it on multiple cases to save large files and to move files from my other laptops to mine. It has worked perfectly!

Using as a time capsule for my MacBook... it works great so far. I was able to transfer files off my old 2015 Air to this seamlessly and everything read correctly. Worth it.

This is a lot smaller and thinner than I expected! Which is perfect because it makes it even more portable. For something so portable to have such an immense storage is amazing!

This works wonderfully well as a backup tool. I reformatted it to use a Linux file system and it has performed as expected. The size is perfect: easy to put in your pocket but big enough that you won't lose it.

Super fast read speeds. Works great with a ps5. I bought this ssd specifically for the ps5 and it took less than 30 seconds to format and ready for use. A little high price for a 1 tb. I wanted at least a 2tb but not willing to pay over $200 for an external hd right now. They really need to bring the prices down on these things

Works as it should, good buy. From a Linux fan: Microsoft Windows users beware--Windows refuses to install itself on removable devices like this. Don't know a work-around.

I could not find a driver to download so I simply plugged the SanDisk into my MacBook. I then drug the folders and files that I wanted to backup and they appeared in the SanDisk. I opened a few files from the SanDisk and manipulated them. Everything worked properly. The SanDisk is very fast and works flawlessly.

I love the extra space. I really enjoy having this on the side as I do a lot of video work. This helps my computer stay clean and fast.

This item is for my wife's new iMac desktop computer. She reports the external drive is working very well. There wasn't enough space on the new computer to accommodate all her files, etc. on her old desktop. So the external drive provides the additional space that she requires.

The device was very user friendly. There was no extra cords or steps that needed to be taken. Overall had a grest experience with it and got all of my photos tranferred over!

A must in my opinion! All around speedy and great drive! Does what I need it to, store my files! does it effectively and I have piece of mind that if I accidently drop it, it can handle it with ease. Really fast write and read speeds, and looks cool on top of it all! Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
