Not good, massive delay to transfer files
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was working ok to begin with, however, now it slows my computer way down after only using it for a year. I use it to save and archive files, and when I go to store a file, it sits for at least 15 seconds before the file begins transferring. Super annoying. I checked on forums, and made sure the small USB-C is plugged in with the arrows lines up. I would not purchase this again.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok look, these hard drives are fast, yes and it would be a 5 star BUT it just formatted entirely! I lost a couple projects I was working on and they are completely wiped off. I had some incredibly important files I had yet to transfer so I'm glad I hadn't yet but they completely wiped off. Just horrible. no way in recovering it. I read online that this is common issue with with these and that's why they are $100 off currently.

You WILL lose your data

When they get about 1/2-full, they fail completely, with no chance of recovery. Extremely low transfer speeds.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose to buy this SSD over some of the competitors because I liked the way it looked and I am a photographer, so I trust Sandisk SD Cards. I do regret it though. I am using this just to transfer exported photo and video files between devices and as a backup. The FIrst few times it worked well and the transfer speeds were fast. But out of nowhere after a few uses, the highest speed I can get while transferring is about 20 mbp/s. Sometimes it stops transferring all together. It tends to throttle between 5mbp/s and 20. Tried doing some research online and some people have had this problem but still have not found a solution. Hopefully, bestbuy lets me return this for a Samsung SSD.

Drive will fail

SanDisk knows these are flawed and there is no real way to fix them. I purchased one because it looks like a great deal but after losing important data and currently going through my second round of warranty replacements I advise you to look at alternative options to this one.

Don't trust your photos with these.

I did my research and thought it would be a reliable product, but mine failed in about seven weeks of minimal (less than weekly) backups of my Lightroom library. Looking around, they are getting a lot of other one-star ratings for failure. Definitely not what you want in a drive that is supposed to backup important files. Or anything for that matter.

Fails to store data (what it is meant for)

I thought it was my mistake and tried again. It FAILED AGAIN. It is so frustrating to me as I brought a couple of these and it is past the return window. Just stay away from SanDisk drives.

Stopped working after 6 weeks

Mine stopped working after 6 weeks and the number of forum posts that describe the same issue are numerous. My mac simply does not recognize it anymore. All data lost.

POOR QUALITY

Every time it was plugged in, it would ask to be formatted - which erases everything on the drive.

kernel panic beware
