The read/write performance is awesome. I’m very happy with the purchase and highly recommend this. Be sure that your device has high speed USB ports to take full advantage of the transfer rates. Just a bit pricey.

Great portable drive replacement

In terms of write speed, it is 10-15 times faster than old generation HDDs. A very useful device for archives.

I click "save" and the program doesn't respond for up to 30 seconds. Great portability and it takes up little space, but I wouldn't buy again. Note: I did reformat to NTFS and it helped *a little*.

If you need an external storage device, I highly suggest looking into this one. I came from a WD Passport Hard Drive and the difference is quite amazing. I am able to upload video projects in significantly less time than I used to be able to do.
