Using this for storing my lightroom catalogs and raw files while in the field. It is plenty fast to work directly off the drive when connected to my laptop. This week I keep getting the disconnect/reconnect chime on my laptop constantly and a pop up notification that the drive may have errors. I freaked out and hooked it up to my desktop using a different cable and backed up the 1tb of data written to the drive already while updating everything I could and restarting my laptop trying to rule out if the drive, cable, or laptop was the issue. My desktop performed an error check and found zero issues. I worry now about the longevity of this drive.

I've bought four of these now at different storage sizes. They've got a decent USB 2.0/C adapter, solid connection slot and have been reliable.

Bought this to put startup disk for 2013 iMac my dad gave me on it to use as audio workstation. Went from over 2 min start to 40 seconds!

Very fast for its price. I backup and edit off here because its many times faster than even the fastest SD cards

Worked very well. I was making a film in Final Cut Pro and had to get this 2tb to complete the film because a lot of special effects were involved and it worked amazingly with my MacBook Air M1

As i said, this external ssd is very fast. I got surprised when I saw the size, 'cause I expected a bigger and heavier one, but it's really light.

I recently had one of these corrupt after not even having it for 6 months, and Sandisk support had to send me a new one. They didn't say what was wrong with it or why it corrupted but my guess would be overheating after being connected for long periods of time? Before this current one I've never had any issues with this SSD and purchased 3 prior. I did sense that it would get hot, but not so much that the warning label says to be weary of. I would purchase this again since my others have worked perfectly fine and this may be a faulty one, but just wanted to point out that it's a little expensive for it to crap out with no clear reason.

So easy to mount and reliable af!!! Love this! I would highly recommend it to any remote traveler like myself!
