A 2TB portable drive in the $100 range is plenty to archive downloads and documents that were filling up my laptop internal storage. It was easy to encrypt the data in case of loss. If you need more speed, a much faster version is available at a premium price.

I would give it 5 stars but after long periods of transferring files it gets very warm. This worries me so I still have my important stuff on the old hard drive for now until I’m sure it won’t melt or over heat.
