Buyer beware, this 4TB SSD is prone to corrupt out of the blue and become unmountable. It would disconnect randomly while the mac was on standby and then the files would be corrupted after. Went through 3 rounds of severe data loss with no backups as the backup was also on a sandisk that corrupted. Extremely disappointed in the brand after being a WD user. This product is should be recalled

Purchased a 2TB ScanDisk SSD, which worked well after one year of use. Purchased this 4TB ScanDisk SSD on 12/31/22, and it crashed the first time on 2/28/23, and now again on 4/19/23; lost all of it’s data both times. I have lost tons of GoPro volleyball videos that were taken for my daughter’s college recruiting efforts. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

SanDisk Pro keeps abruptly failing. The drive will unmount and you will not be able to get it to mount again, despite showing up in Disk Utility. You can sometimes recover it using DiskDrill's filesystem rebuild, but occasionally that does nothing. It persists with any filesystem type. This happened just days after using it. Search it online and you will see how common this issue is...

Constantly has wiped my data 4 different times this is uncalled for I have read multiple reviews on this product as well this is a defective item there are class action lawsuits being pursued on this issue as well I want a full refund have been trying to get a full refund for the past 2 months and still nothing.

Be careful with this product, don’t keep importan data because is very unstable, sometimes disconnects without any reason , I have some friend who had lose data and not able to recover anything with this drive.

Mine only lasted a year. Now I can’t write anything to it.

This is the worst ssd I’ve ever had to deal with. If you are a Mac user, don’t purchase this trash ssd. It’s not compatible. Randomly deletes data and unmounts itself. You can’t re mount it no matter what without reformatting and losing all your data. I thought I had a defect but the second replacement has the same issues. This is not Mac compatible

Do not purchase. Device will fail and you may loose date. Luckily I was able to return within my purchase window. The device will unmount or eject automatically and at random making it difficult to depend upon. If device is being accessed during this period, you may loose data.

If there was negative stars that's what this would get along with Sandisk. Bought these 4 months ago and they started failing to mount. Of course there is no support in store and the RMA process from Sandisk has been proving to be a nightmare of no responses and "under review" for who knows how long. I really loved this products of this brand but lately it has gone down hill. Junk Junk Junk.

This purchase made me realize how horrible customer service is at Beat Buy. They don’t honor price match. I found this $60 cheaper on Amazon and they would honor it. They are horrible. Cheaper for you to get these from Amazon.

Bought this item 36 days ago... item has failed and I lost about 3T worth of work. Best Buy doesn't take returns after 15 days and Western Digital (who own SanDisk) only warranties their product for 30 days. Now I see why. $330 down the drain!! DON'T BUY!!

Unfortunately approximately every 3 months this ssd gives me no option but to format it. Literally doesn’t give me any choice just gives me warning and that no drive or days is found and format button.

Great drive but Apple TimeMachine doesn't like it. My mac runs backups fine on other drives, but it rarely works on this one without locking it up. Disk Doctor says it's ok but it's not.

Bought and exchanged twice and worked for a bit but then began deleting files automatically. And I upgraded from the lower model for the best experience and this happened twice.

Bought this so could download more than 20 years of data (primarily photos) stored on old hard drives. It’s been a pleasure and highly recommend.

This was advertised and we were told by staff (we double checked before purchase) that this would work with a PlayStation 5 and it does not, making it completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, my husband is a truck driver and didn’t find out until after he’d left for the month, so we were unable to return it.

It’s a fantastic hard drive. It’s rugged design makes you feel at ease when you move it around

Keeps deleting itself, it’s happened twice now. Not happy with my purchase and would return if I could.
