Fast and it frees up space for the ps5 which is a saving grace literally. It’s also pretty fast too since it’s a ssd. So if you need to free up space for your ps5 then get this.

Purchased to use as a Time Machine backup with a new M1 MacBook Air. When attached to MacBook, pop up dialogue asked to change format to Mac for time machine. Took just a few seconds. Works silently in the background. Only complaint is the supplied USB-c cord is very short, about 5 inches.

Writing speed is about 750-760 MB/s, and reading speed is about 650-660 MB/s. It is not bad, compared to the advertised max. 1050 MB/s but quite far from 1050. This drive is small and durable. The provided USB C cable is too sturdy.

Very fast at read and write speeds. This is the 2nd generation version. Instead of taking hours to copy my grandparents album, it only took a few minutes. A real time saver

Read and write speeds are good with this portable hard drive. I use it to record sentry video in my Tesla model 3. Well worth the price and reliable.

I got two of these one as a backup and the other I use to watch movies on my ipad air. Comes in handy if you need to move files in an emergency.
