Excellent little portable SSD

Oh, and nice and small. The rubberized casing is strong enough, but since it's also very small and light, I'm very confident that my data would survive even if I accidentally dropped this on concrete, and have zero qualms about sticking it in my pocket when traveling. One thing—make sure you use the cable it comes with. Not every USB cable can handle the speeds it's capable of, and you don't want to lose performance because of a substandard cable.

I tried ten times to buy the item, but the system automatically cancelled the orders. On each times I chatted with customary agent and tried to find out solution, as agent suggestion I used credit card, best buy e-gift card, changed shipping addresses (my shipping address was cargo address, as my location is different country) several times, but no result. At the tenth time the agent told me that if the shipping address was non-residential address like hotel, cargo etc. the system canceled it automatically. But as my understanding the system doesn't accept any shipping addresses in Wilmington city, because at the tenth times I used Brooklyn and the system accepted it. But the SanDisk is fine as my expected.

DEAD after less than 1.5 yrs of use.

Dead after less than 1.5 years ownership. Today is Dec 8, 2022. Purchased Aug 9, 2021. SSD was well taken care of with at least 1/3 space free when died. Not taxed heavily. Tried different ports, cables and computers. Nope. Dead. After years and years of owning hard drives, SSDs, music and video equipment, 5 laptops, 4 towers, and putting in the care to maintain them well, this is the shortest life span I've experienced. Unacceptable for a company of this trusted reputation.

Failed after about a year of light duty

It worked for several months then failed completely. A couple of computers would not even recognize it when pluged into usb port. I have had good luck of the other SanDisk products and am disappointed with this one.

Luckily I had a backup of the important things…. But it can’t be that it only lasts 4 months, that is unacceptable. Now is out of the window to return and I’m having the hassle to deal with SanDisk warranty. Do not buy
