Awesome fast portable SSD

It came with a short (less than a foot) usb-c cable with a usb-a adapter to place on one the ends for legacy devices. For WRITING speeds. All data coming from my onboard ssd (surface pro) to these devices. Sandisk usb 2.0 flash drive: ~8mb/s Sandisk usb 3.0 flash drive: ~17mb/s WD usb 2.0 hard drive : ~27mb/s WD usb 3.0 hard drive: ~80mb/s Sandisk usb 3.0 ssd: ~290mb/s This makes transferring large files a breeze.

You can’t beat this for a backup plan. Sure there’s the cloud, but this is one you can put your hands on, take with you or keep filed in a drawer. It lets you rest easy that should anything happen, your’re covered! Truly easy to use. Just plug in and click. No decisions or partitions to worry about. If you plan to use on Mac and pc, you may have to format, but for use on one or the other, no problem.

A Must Have

Having had multiple external drives fail on me I needed something that was much more durable and portable. I can't believe how great this device is. I edit tons of videos and music as well and have no issues. This is definitely the future for holding files because you don't want all your pictures, photos and videos to fail due to faulty hardware.
