    Bought this for Macbook Pro to save audio project files and samples. Music creation software is very storage heavy (Superior Drummer is almost 500GB!) And this is a nice portable way to expand that storage. SSD tech removes a lot of the stress from a mechanical drive that when traveling would be propped up on all sorts of surfaces just waiting to fall over and fail.

    For half a tetrabyte, this thing is great. SSD get smaller & smaller but powerful. Great encryption but don't like while you're storing something in a folder it locks the drive & the folder. Can drop & file manage. Time will tell if it degrades like the my other external HD have...shouldn't w/ no moving parts but again time reveals all.

    Works great for its intended purpose. Bought it to store movies to play on my iPad. Plug it in to usb C port on iPad, go to files, click the drive and they're there. Small form factor means it is easy to keep with me. Wish I would have bought a bigger 1TB, but that's my fault. Not much else to say here. It works.
