This is a very fast external SSD. I used it for a long time almost as a primary drive because my macbook had such a small disk that I even placed apps in it. Then moved to another laptop and still use it daily. Really good drive. Also, very small and portable.

These new Sandisk External SSD external storage devices are not only super fast but totally reliable with no moving parts. They are also dust and water-resistant to boot. I'm a commercial photographer and need to know that my back-ups are totally secure and reliable. Really Great!!!

I typically travel every three days or so and have a drive with me. I had a bigger drive that carried 1TB of information but the drive died, probably due to it being a spinning drive and me moving it too much. Defeats the purpose of being portable IMO. This little drive is an SSD, has been through unfavorable heat, mistake on my part and placed in a bag that’s constantly moving. I feel like I can REALLY rely on this drive to be usable for years! Definitely recommend. Only thing is the price sucks but NAND memory is expensive right now but I still recommend it for a good drive.

Super lightweight and tiny; works with Mac & PC. I love the idea of backing up on SSD after a few older drives got the tick. Noticed the drive gets ho t if plugged into USB adapter in computer; all day USB-C connection, no heat

I have two of the 1TB ones and got the 500GB to use as a backup for my computer. Works well, rugged, and it have USB C interface which is all nice. Haven't had any issues with it. Fast data transfer speeds as well.

I bought this external SSD because I ran out of local memory in one of my computers and I wanted something much faster than a HDD external. I looked around to see what brands are good out there and out of all of them this was the best choice. It worked straight out of the box—though you have to reformat it to NTFS to get the most out of the external. I got the 500GB one because I knew the files I needed to store in it wasn’t going to take up most of the space. If I do need a much larger external, I would gladly buy another one from this brand. This thing literally fits on the palm of your hand (about the size of a credit card).

This is a great little external drive for the Macbook line. The drive is very light and small. The drive seems very durable. Transfer speed is lightning fast. If you need a fast, tough drive to run backups or to store your photos externally, this is a great choice.

So Far this device operates well as a Usb 3.0 device, it draws about the same power, maintains a decent capacity of 512G, is portable and operates with no major issues. Consider reformatting to NTFS from ext-Fat if you DO NOT plan to use it on a mac. Its Boasts of speed are not rellivant with usb 3.0 but rather the newer generation of usb 3.1, the claims that it increases a standard usb 3.0 is incorrect. A decent buy for most people, portability and construct seem decent.

This little thing is awesome. I needed something lightweight and small to carry around with me when I travel. This device takes little to no room in my bag and packs a lot of memory. If you’re looking for something reliable, look no further!

I was looking for a small portable SSD to complement my photography workflow. This was perfect and works well with both my iPad Pro and MacBook Air. Very quick transfer speeds and super small.

I need to be able to transfer files, fast and secure. It has to be compatible with different machines and connectors. And this drive works great, USB - C for my Work Laptop, USB for others. It is small and fast. can transfer 50GB+ files in no time.

This hard drive is perfect for storing video files- so easy to transfer - 500 has been enough for what I needed- and it’s high Quality solid state (SS) I own a few hard drives and this one works perfect all the time .

This drive is the best small, portable SSD I’ve used. It beats most other portable hard drives in size and speed. If you’re looking for portable storage and speed is a requirement, this drive is a good option.

Need some extra storage so picked this up. In person it is much small than I thought which is nice. Works well and the adapter so you can use it with USB-C or with USB-A is a nice touch!

I didn't realize how small it would be. It pretty amazing sandisk can fit up to 2 terabytes of space on such a small and light weight device. Not to mention is water and dust resistant. Perfect for travel.

My very first SSD external hard drive and extremely impressed with it's power/speed. I have multiple external hard drives for extra back-ups just in case and primarily use it for video editing for Final Cut Pro - storing and using all project files/libraries directly through the external hard drive to maximize space on my computer. Upgrading to an SSD external was the best decision I ever made. Editing videos, transferring files, and rendering edits are a lot quicker now. Highly recommend this product if you want to save computer space and get jobs done faster. It even fits in your pocket better than an iPhone 8 Plus.

Great portable hard drive. I used the drive to backup photos when traveling. It's nice to have such a high speed drive that also fits in your pocket and is light weight.

I've enjoyed this drive. Super portable and reliable, so far. It downloads fairly quickly. I connect it to my computer using a longer USB type cord and Voila!
