Small and good like a hobbit. Although not all hobbits are created equally, it seems as though Gandalf made a good judgment of them.

Purchased as an Xmas gift, but they are pleased with it so far even though have not used it much yet. Great design and feel and quality brand name gives more peace of mind. Will update review if any changes, but would purchase again!

I bought this to use as a library for my games. I am able to run my games seamlessly while using the usb-c. My brother also bought this one and uses it for games as well, but he doesn’t have usb-c(he uses the adapter) on his tower and it still runs games very well.

The drive serves its purpose. It heats up a little while in use. Otherwise it does what it needs to do with no issues.

I bought this to install certain games for Xbox on to it Because it’s a solid state hard drive load times are almost non existent Im 99% of the time the first person to load into a game which is nice for games like overwatch so I get to pick my character first

Have been using this with my MacBook Pro and love it. I have installed my games on this to save space on my Mac. Everything runs smooth, you would think it was an internal drive.

Windows did not find drivers for the Extreme 500Gb, so initially the device was not recognized. SanDisk had excellent coverage on their support forum with clear instructions. Basically all registry links to prior SanDisk devices had to be removed with Regedit, then when the device is installed, Windows succeeded in installing the drivers. Now that the device is up, it has been working flawlessly, and does seem faster than external USB SSD devices I've used in the past.

I should be able to use it on all of my devices to download and transfer. I haven’t used it enough to give it a five star.

The SanDisk Extreme 500 GB External SSD is only about 3 inches long and weighs practically nothing. It's just big enough to not be easily lost and is perfect for carrying around with you. It is rugged with a dust and water resistant rubberized exterior and has an opening at the top right for clipping to a carabiner. I transferred a 20 GB folder from my laptop to this SSD in a matter of minutes. Super fast. It also is plug and play right out of the box. Officially you need a computer or laptop to plug this into for it to work, but I believe you can transfer files directly from your camera or phone with the help of an OTG adapter and a power block. Great product that I recommend for anyone who needs storage on the go.

This is great to put music and pictures and movies on so when you travel I can use it with my iPad.

Excellent use for gaining more space on my iPad Pro. Easy to use to transfer files back and forth through the files app on the iPad. The only downfall for using on the iPad is knowing how much space is left on the drive!

I just recently found out these exist. I had been been buying usb flash drives. These are amazing. SSD, incredibly fast, and much more solid than the flash drives. I will be purchasing more of these. Incredible product.

So this review would have gotten 5 stars if the first set of videos I imported into this drive didn’t become unreadable. I think it had to do with the type of format. So I reformatted the drive for Mac and BAM! Not a single issue after that. So I would just recommend you format the drive before you use it for the first time. And you should not have any issues at all.

I bought it for my son who needed to back up his Mac. Got him a Samsung T5 but didn't work very well with his Mac. This unit works flawlessly. Reasonably fast. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive.

Seems to be pretty quick, much better than a USB 3.0 portable drive. Only gave four stars because I haven't use the drive much!

The Sandisk SSD external storage .5 TB is cost effective compact but sturdy. Good product but next time will buy 1 Terabyte.

I bought this together with the WD 500 SSD to compare the two and I am definitely happier with the SanDisk because it is less prone to smudging and seems like its a bit more rugged that the WD. This is not immune to smudges though.

This drive is tiny, but fast enough to transfer HD video quickly. Perfect for any types of media and can easily fit in your pocket. Lightweight and no spinning drive. I have no concerns about durability.
