    This thing is tough. I bought a 250GB about 2 years ago and it still works great. I needed a second one so i bought the 500.

    Replaced NAS device and reduced back time from 10 hours to 1. Read/Write speeds really fast. NAS was 40 and extreme was 400 plus.

    Great product by a very reputable company. I installed PUBG on my Sandisk external SSD and the decrease in load times was huge!

    After having it plugged it for a few minutes it would overheat without doing any data transferring. Maybe mine was just a defective unit but did read similar comments about that issue, so I returned it and got a different one.
