I needed an easy to set up and cost effective backup device for my HDD until I have time for something more permanent. This thing works great and is a breeze to configure. I use the PC for mostly business stuff and have learned my lesson on putting of having a backup of all my data. The 500GB is totally sufficient for a constant overwriting backup in case of HDD failure.

These are great drives. Only the price is the hold-up. This one costs $90. I had a 2TB that was over $249. It is NOT cheap, but they work great. We use this one for temporary storage to offload my wife's Mac Book with a 1 TB ssd drive. With one of these, you can copy info from the laptop at maximum speed.

When I took this drive out of its box I was shocked at the size of it. It literally is the smallest external drive that I've ever seen. It easily fits into my laptop case's accessory pocket and it hardly weighs anything at all. I use this drive to store RAW files from my Nikon DSLR and have no complaints about the read and write speeds. It's phenomenally fast!

I use this SSD for both my Galaxy S9+ and 2017 Macbook Pro 15 and I must say, its top features are its portability, durability, compatibility (use of USB-C) and its speeds (than you solid state). This SSD is perfect if you’re looking wanting the convenience of portability rather than a large capacity (like that of a true 1TB or more external hard drive).

I dropped mine onto a tile floor and no problems. The speed is definitely fast enough for my uses. The USB attachment caused some concern for me at first. The SSD would let me read but not save. However, once I realized I had the small attachment on upside down, everything worked great again. Obviously this was my fault, not the device.

This thing does exactly what it supposed to and it does it very quickly, reliably, and it is fair-priced (especially when on sale!). I use a lot of external memory and have used multiple similar models by other brands, but I plan to buy more of this one. SanDisk made a solid product that is fair-priced with this one.

I bought this drive to store my footage when editing some videos. It’s great and does everything I need it to! Nice and speedy. Can edit a 1080p Final Cut Pro video right off of the SSD with no hang ups. I’m always shocked at how small and portable this is as well. Great job SanDisk. Only wish I had bought a bigger capacity!

This drive goes everywhere with me. As a solid state drive it’s almost indestructible. The space is phenomenal I have every device I own including phones, iPads, tablets, laptops and PC backed up and still have room for movies downloaded from Ne**icks. Go figure!

This external hard drive is extremely user friendly. I was so impressed with Best Buy's staff who helped me choose the perfect one. This hard drive is the perfect size and very durable so I don't have to worry about bringing it around with me every where I go! Would recommend to anyone in need of one!

The drive is fast, small, thin and light weight. It comes with an adapter from USB-C (USB 3.1) to USB-A. The adapter has no cord which I like. This works great for me as I use the USB-C plug into my newer Apple MacBook Pro and use the adapter to plug it into my older MacBook Pro. Performance has been great for me.

I've had a few different models of external USB-C SSDs and these are the only one I have not had any issues with. This is my 2nd - the other one travels with me but when I needed to expand the storage on my Mac mini, I bought this one. So far, no issues and very happy with it.

Excellent solution to computers without large drives. Very fast and portable, not easy to lose as jumps drives are still small and light enough to fit in your pocket. Large files can be moved just as fast as computer built in SSD, that was one the reasons for this purchase. Recommended

Transfer rates are fast. It's rugged, and solid state, so you don't have to worry about jarring it or minor drops. Size is larger than a typical flash drive (and that's a good thing) so it's less easy to lose, but this drive is also small. Much better than a hard drive.
