This is such a handy drive. I’m able to use it when I’m traveling to back up photos from day to day shoots. Also being an SSD drive. This is fast enough to put a bootable operating system on it if needed. I’ve been using SanDisk for 20 years now without issues.

this ssd is extremely thin and light. It can easily fit in really small pockets. However, one thing I did notice is that when plugged into a computer, it does get hot. I'm not sure if this is a general thing for all external SSDs or just this one.

Bought this on a sale quite a while back. Needed the fastest cheapest large storage drive possible at the time. And this checked all the boxes. I use it for recording game play with obs and transferring that recording at hyper speeds to another computer for editing later.

The unit is small, compact and has plenty of storage for music tracks, pictures, etc. It's larger than comparable sized USB drives but the right size so that you won't accidentally misplace or leave. It has a built in loop for connecting to a key ring.

This thing moves images quickly while maintaining image integrity and it's water resistant with a hook loop so I can keep it on my side or camera backpack. Well built light weight and great speed. Con is the adapter it comes with not a fan but it works well.

This SanDisk- Extreme 500GB External drive is very compact & great for all your data. Has preformed very well so far me, as I've been using for music storage for playing music data in my car. I would recommend the purchase of this portable SSD.

This was used to help speed up processing when I used Adobe Lightroom. Previous to plugging this drive in, Lightroom would freeze when I used the adjustment brush feature. With the SSD drive, the program didn't freeze at all. It is a bonus that the drive is such a handy size.

I have used external disk drives for years but nothing as small or fast. I had been using a different SSD as an external drive that is literally half as fast as this new SanDisk. Not only is this a blazing fast drive, the price was less expensive that any other drive I found

Hooked this baby up to my DVR. It spins hard disks continuously so they tend to wear out and fragment video after a year. Hoping this SSD drive will not have the same fail rate as my last 2 hard drives. So far it’s working like a charm!

Did what it was supposed to, transfer speeds are fast. Portable for sure. However, It gets really hot. One day would be recognized on my Macbook another day it wouldn’t. Stopped working one day and had to wipe all the data. Lost a ton of files, then had to re-configure it. It really just wasn’t for me. Would recommend to someone who may travel a lot.

This little SSD drive has made my live so much easier. The file transfer times are very fast and the overall drive easily fits in a small pocket. best part is I can go between Mac and PC with the same drive due to the formatting and the included dongle.

First thing I did when I got the SSD was to plug it in to my Android USB C device. The phone automatically formatted the SSD into exfat format. I was able to very quickly upload 10 months of photos and videos eqhating to about 76 GBs data between my phone and my wife's phone of family memories. Then I use the USB 3.1 adapter for PC that was provided in the packaging and connect my pc to it. This adapter works fantastic and was very fast even with my computer having only a USB 3.0 connection. The drive is very fast. I was surprised at how fast the SSD was compared to my mechanical hard drive. This was definitely faster than the high speed micrI sd, even when connected directly into my computer. I was able to quickly compress videos and photos directly on the SSD. This was definitely worth the trip to the store pickup.

Got this drive to consolidate files and pictures from several different computers. The transfer speed is very good. The Type A/Type C adapter is helpful such that is can be used with both connection types.

Does the job, I will be buying a second one to hold video on my Tesla , super small form factor that I did not expect but very sturdy! Great write speeds and I feel confident that this will last a long time

WOW!!!! If your looking for transfer speed the SSD drive is the way to go. It transfers super fast and I was taken back by how small it was. This is a very cool and safe way to store your important data... You know all your music and such.

Amazing how fast either downloading or uploading to the drive. I travel quite a bit and use it to back up all data from my laptop. I’m pretty rough with it and it is very stable and reliable for me, I have bought an extra one just because of this.

My first portable SSD drive. I like the size, easy to carry around. Fast operating, really do like that. Good price for the amount of storage.

This portal drive is everything I wanted. I love the look, feel and it definitely gets the job done. I started work in photography and needed a portable drive to transfer pic too. This is absolutely great.

I needed extra storage I could carry with me easily. This little and I mean little disk is perfect. Great capacity and so easy to take anywhere. Easily transfer data onto disk and view to view and use on other devices.
