I don’t know if it’s the card or my camera but I thought it was very strange and it did not start happening until after I started using this card. I love having all of the extra space though!

quicker SD card

SanDisk - Extreme PRO 64GB SDXC UHS-I Memory Card

I normally use a 300MB/s (two rows of contacts on the back of the card). I bought this to use as a backup but found that it keeps up with the camera in continuous shooting mode just fine.
