My external hard drive is actually a bit quicker than this Extreme pro with less capabilities. I do like the ability to have a passcode to get into the SanDisk though, just wish it were a bit faster for video and photo editing. It's not bad, I was just looking to improve my workflow, and this unfortunately isn't doing it; but for someone who just needs quick storage it's good.

I have to return it two times and both times it failed. I bought it in May 2022 for $199 ($213 with tax). I was using it during our travel. It started overheating and kept on ejecting itself. It was under warranty and was able to get a replacement when I came back to the US. I decided to use it as time machine for my Mac. Again, it overheated and ejected itself. My Mac is unable to read it. What a waste of money !!!! This the probably the reason why its been discounted.
