Hard core security

Horrific Experience/Terrible Product!

I used the HD to back up critical files. One day after loading the files the HD failed. SanDisk put me in touch with a third party vendor to recover the data. After going through many hoops the 3rd party vendor verified with SanDisk that they could help me. They recovered some data, but not all. After sharing this with SanDisk they said to return it to BestBuy. I drove over an hour back to BestBuy-& BB said that I just missed the cutoff to return the product. I would've been able to return the HD sooner-but SanDisk & the 3rd party vendor had taken a long time to verify the purchase. After many emails SanDisk will replace the product-but now I have to go to the post office to first return the HD. It's been a terrible experience.

Unfortunate event

Later I found that it was malfunctioned, because none of my data got transfer. At least they exchange it for free but I’ll forever question the longevity of this hard drive.

Very disappointed

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this SSD just over a month ago, I wanted to use it to edit some 4K videos because I heard it will make the process faster, but I got so disappointed when I saw that a 12 minute video will take 17 hours to render it. I tried several times. At first I thought it was my computer, but I transferred the files to my Seagate hard drive and I was able to render it in no time. Too bad, 30 days past 4 days ago, and I won’t be able to return it.

Im to lazy to return it but this guy has a reputation for data loss. Like the whole thing can freeze, I dont know. Even the company admits that. I really dont know why they continue to sell these. Criminal. I just use it as backup for my wonderful Nvidia Shield Pro so Im not too concerned and in the 6 months Ive used it no problems but if I had known I woulda gone with something else.

Do Not Look, Buy, or Touch

I lost all my videos for my job and was unable to get a return or refund. Even after Geek Squad confirmed the drive had failed, Best Buy refused to honor their return policy. As a professional reviewer, I feel obligated to inform my followers not to purchase this product or brand. Poor quality products and inadequate customer service are unacceptable.

Don't buy for music production

I don't know if it's the computer or if it's the hard drive but I've had both for less than 30 days and the SSD has been wiped out twice. I'm the only one who uses the equipment and make sure to eject and power down after every use. Very dissatisfied would give 0 stars if possible.

Don't waste your money

Gone. Some are there and some are not. No reason. No it's not working at all. Won't let me access it no matter what USB port or computer I use. This is just a very expensive paper weight at this point, and my files are gone. Good times.

1 good, 1 terrible

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought 2. 1 worked fine. the other has now corrupted 3 times and I've lost a ton of data each time, luckily after the first one and spending a bunch of money i was able to recover the data, the other times we had planned a backup transfer just in case the hard drive crashed and thank goodness we did.

Worst buy don’t buy

( over 200 GB) Now the memory card doesn’t work. So all of work and precious memories gone. I owned it for 2. Weeks and used it less then a hand full of times

Two in a row don’t work.

I work professionally in video and lost important footage for clients. Best Buy had the nerve to attempt to charge me to extract it, which they also failed to do.

DON'T BUY EVER

Full drive failure shortly after purchase
