I needed to transfer a large amount of files from one computer to another. I was surprised at how fast it was able to copy the files. I am very satisfied with the product. It was even a better deal than I thought, as it was on sale at the time, and I was able to get double the speed for slightly more that the slower speed product.

When I write to a USB3.0 flash memory from another USB3.0 flash memory, the write speed is anywhere from 20 to 45 MB/s. Writing to the Extreme Pro gets me the full read spread of the USB3.0 device, 145MB/s. When I plug it into my PCIe NVMe USB3.2x2 interface card on my PC, I get read/write speeds of 760 MB/S transferring files from my SSD C: drive. What used to take 1 hour and 45 minutes to copy 135GBs from a USB3.0 flash drive now takes approximately 4 minutes.

You will not get tje top speedd off of this drive if you are using a 2021 or older Apple product as the suport 3.1 and that maxes out arount 1 gig not 2 gig…..and more commonlpy 850-950. So, if you habe 3.2 support its GREAT, if not, bu the liwer model and youll get the same speeds.
