I needed something to back up my iPhone 6 without plugging it into my computer. This device does just that. It has a lightening connector at one end and a USB connector at the other. My iPhone was company issued and given to me when I left the company but I knew as soon as I plugged it into my laptop it would be wiped back to factory settings and I'd lose all my contacts and photos. This allowed me to move all my photos and contact to the device and then to my laptop. Also great if you are traveling without your laptop and using your phone to take a lot of photos. If you aren't backing up to the cloud you can back up to this thumb drive to keep the storage on your phone freed up.

Works great with one exception... Will not transfer purchased movies from one device to another... Other than that, works perfectly. Also a great way to share pics and videos without using data

My husband gave me a photo frame where I could runn1000 photos so I just put this in my iPad and selected 1000 favourite pictures to runnnon stop thru the frame.

The price of this product is great, along with the quality. Works fast and is simple to figure out. I bring it everywhere with me. This is one of my favorite pieces of technology

This is amazing to have if you have your phone full of pictures and you want to transfer them fast to your computer to free up some space, it is easy to use.

Bought this to unload photos due to limited storage with iphone. Worked great the first two times and then stopped. most of the time when i plugged it in it would say "preparing content" and would not stop till i detached hard drive. Was unable to plug in and transfer photos using scandisk app. after reading comments on line some suggested opening photo album, selecting photos and then hit the sharing bottom. so rather than emailing photos to myself i looked for the ixpand icon. Tap this button and it comes up with "preparing" next tell ixpand which folder you want photos to be dropped. You can create your own if you need to keep track of photos. Photos are quickly transferred over. It's a slow work around but it does the trick. Also does your contact back up and can transfer photos or docs from flash drive to iphone. One feature that i do like is the ability to transfer video and photos directly to the flash drive. Click on camera icon in upper left corner of app. Camera starts working but you can only take photos or video. No slo mo, time lapse, square or pano. Everything is store on flash drive...

brought this to back up all my photos and etc to free up space without having to purchase space from iCloud. It works great and quick too. Used this for both my iphone and ipad mini
