I use it to back up my iPhone pictures onto the flash drive just in case something happens to my iPhone and I lose my picture so much so I purchased one for my iPad to back up my pictures. If you want you can put you pictures onto your computer using the USB end of the flash drive and the iPhone app. Is real simple to use
