Posted .Hi, please be informed that these USB Drives have a retractable USB slider mechanism. The slider should lock itself when the USB connector is all the way out so that it can be easily connected to a USB port. When not in use, you can slide it back to the closed position, protecting the USB connector from any bumps and knocks that it might otherwise be subjected to. If the lock mechanism is not functioning properly, I would suggest you to please contact SanDisk Support directly at 1-866-SANDISK and we will assist you towards the best possible resolution including a possible warranty replacement if required.

Troublesome and hassle; not for me

Need to download an app to Apple iPhone; then download another app (password protected , etc....) to the PC. Too much of a hassle. Thought I had transferred photos from iPhone to this device, but apparently it they didn't transfer and don't want pass word encrypted photos on my PC through yet another app. Just bot for me. I will return this.

Its essential for every iphone user. Just wish it was cheaper. Its price steadidly goes up everytime i want to buy another one. A few years ago it was half the price. Even daily drop its more then original price first time purchase! Its the only thing of its kind so far so no competitors. Also it does have trouble sometimes reading its own file so its good to back up on a a hard drive. ( Moving pictures and videos).
