Even if you wipe and reformate, iPhone will only see it when you have installed their app. Works, just have to jump through a few more hoops to get content on or off the thumb drive. Works great on a computer.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To start, I did not like that I had to upload an app to use it. With that can an agreement. It was easy to use. The first time though it said I had 1800+ photos, and for whatever unknown to me reason, it could not transfer them, so it said to try later. Next time, which was shortly after the first time, I had 1500+ photos. I do no know if I lost 300 pictures or what. It transferred those except for a few that it said I had to try again. Every time I try one or 2 more transfer. I never got to complete, but within a dozen. It does not have to a problem with the device. Also, coincidentally I usually use 1-2 GB data on my phone. This month for the very first time I used nearly 9. The only thing I did differently was use this device. I do not know if using it was the cause or there was a glitch with Verizon.

Hard drive for IPhone

This is tailored as a hard drive for an iPhone. And it can be connected to a number of different devices. I’m so glad for the knowledgeable assistant that sold this to me.

Also not clear on how to move the photos off the drive onto my laptop. I am also very not computer/technical literate!
