I was disappointed when I found out that this mp3 player wouldn't play my podcast which was about 10 mb or so. Returned it back to Best Buy.

Easy set up and they are able to enjoy their music. I am just worried they will lose it, since it is so small.

I bought the SanDisk Clip Sport to replace a SanDisk Sansa Clip+ (whose battery died after 15 months of heavy use; would give Clip+ 5 stars based on performance/cost ratio). I was concerned by all the negative reviews regarding the Clip Sport but figured that by September 2014, eight months after release, the Company had worked out all the issues, which seemed more software related. Wrong. Note: I primarily utilize the MP3 player to listen to music while running or working out in the gym. • Biggest Issues is, after dragging and dropping my MP3 files onto the player (as per User Manual), the songs will only play alphabetically. While there are few movie lines that mention album organization alphabetically (John Cusak in High Fidelity comes to mind), I have yet to meet a human who purposely listens to their music alphabetically I’m actually curious to meet the employees and the focus group that beta tested the Clip Sport prior to its release. Given the MP3 software used by this player is from the 1980’s and hundreds of apps are coming out daily, you would think someone in SanDisk could reprogram this issue while watching a Star Trek episode? NOTE: latest firmware does not seem to correct this issue. Returning the Clip Sport and going back to the tried and trusted, Clip+.

Got this for my kid for Christmas. She finally got around to using it yesterday. She loaded it with songs easily from her laptop and had it all charged up. Used it and said the sound was very good for about 4 hours and then it died. It won't even power back up. It goes back today.

The headphone lead that comes with dosesn't fit well. You can hear distortion when you wiggle it. The sound comes and goes in one ear or the other. This is disgusting for a new product, specially Sansa. Very dissapointed.

    Not worth the money

I was happy to find another SanDisk MP3 player since my last one lasted so long. I read a few of the reviews, but missed all the ones on the headphones. I charge the player and started using it with my own headphone since the ones it came with were uncomfortable. I took the headphones out to recharge the player and no sound after being charged. I contacted SanDisk they sent me a replacement. While charging the replacement I check for sound with the headphone great I had music. Remove the headphone let it finish charging. Went to use it and no sound with player fully charged. Contacted SanDisk over a week ago no reply yet. Don't buy this Product.

its cute and compact, easy to use, but it freezes up and you cant even turn it off to reboot it until it burns out the battery. Lasted only a couple of weeks before it started acting up

    DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY.

DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY.The scan disk sansa clip is JUNK I have owned four sansa clip over the last three years they last about 8 to 10 months then they just stop working. Sometimes if you let the sansa set overnight it might or might not work again. I am tired of have to continually buy replacement clips because of scan disk poor design and cheap workmanship. If you are stupid and want something that’s costly and only works for a short time this is the mp3 player for you. The only reason It’s the best selling is because it always has to be replaced after it stops working in a couple of months. DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY.

I bought last years version. Five times I had to take it back to get it replaced because it kept malfunctioning (wouldn't power up). Yesterday when I went to exchange it (time number 6), they weren't selling that model anymore and I had to pay an extra $13 to upgrade to this one. After initial failures with this model, it eventually booted up and was able to play music. I left it charging over night. Now it wont turn on, even when still plugged in. So, tomorrow will be exchange number 1 on this version. It wouldn't be so bad except every time I exchange it, it takes more than an hour of waiting around. DO NOT BUY THIS!! THEY ARE K-RAP!

Power on randomly fails after first use

If I turn it off and leave it sitting around, it randomly powers on by itself. The power button works to turn it off, but it will not turn back on again with the power button. I have to leave it sitting around until it decides to turn itself on again.

    Another Broken One

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had a Sansa Clip that broke after a couple of months. I bought a Clip Zip around Christmas last year and it broke. I got it replaced, and now I'm reviewing my third Clip (second clip zip). After several weeks the screen has a big line in it just like my last one, and the sound quality seems extremely poor for some reason. I'm not an audiophile, I'm talking about obvious warbling and overall bad quality. I would never buy a Sandisk multimedia player again.

I have had this for just about a year and have had problems with it the whole time. There have been numerous times where it has shut off & wouldn't come back unless I held the button down for a few minutes. Now it won't come on at all and I have tried about 10 times to reset it and nothing has worked. I have owned a few other Sansa mp3 players over the years and none of them lasted very long either. I should have learned my lesson after the 2nd one.

I bought 6 devices and 2 do not work. One doesn't hold a charge and the other I haven't figured out why it isn't working it won't read the e-books. Need much better quality control.

Bought 2 of them.. neither ever gets past the refreshing media screen after putting music on them. Freezes up. Checked online sites after this issue- seems to be widespread. Live a longer life- don't deal with the frustration that is a Sandisk Clip Zip.

I created an account just to warn people what a nightmare this is to add playlists too. It does not work well with Windows Media Player and had to download Winamp, even then couldn't get the playlists to add right. I hate this thing and will return it asap. Also you will definitely have to buy headphones, the ones that come with it had horrible sound and didn't fit me at all.
