Great upgrade for an older laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged this drive into an external enclosure and cloned my current HD over. Took maybe an hour over a USB 2.0 port. Afterwards, I swapped my old HD with the new SSD and started up. Took maybe 25 seconds from power button to login screen. Likely to be quicker on a newer system that supports the full speed of the drive.

Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably my 20th purchase of a SanDisk SSD Plus device. To date none of these have failed. This particular one was installed in a client laptop, As is the case generally, an SSD like this gives the appearance of a faster computer and helps users find new appreciation for their older laptop. Obviously the CPU performance does not improve but boot time is greatly reduced and applications open much faster. Laptop battery life is also (usually) improved. I have used the SSD Plus for the three major operating systems (Windows, Mac and Linux). While I have used other brands and had only one failure I have opted to purchase (on sale) only the SanDisk brand to keep in my inventory for an emergency SSD drive.

Fast, easy, game changer for older pc's
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like to refurb old laptops and one thing I discovered a few years ago is what a life enhancer an SSD can be for an older pc or laptop. I've added new life to mac, macbooks, pc's and windows laptops just by installing a reasonable sized SSD instead of a mechanical hard drive and a few exyta gig of ram. The SANDISK 240GB drive was substantially under 100 bucks at Best Buy, low enough that I didn't think twice about adding it to an HP laptop (6470b) I was modding. Wow! What a difference. I had stuck with Samsung, and had tried another brand BB offered in the past and had problems. NO problems with the Sandisk! I just cloned the hard drive to the Sandisk, popped it in the laptop and off we went. Highly recommended.

So far so good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cloned this drive from an Intel ssd drive (also purchased from BB) containing my operating system that was acting up. This drive to this point has worked flawlessly although it is young, less than a month old. I have purchased smaller drives from SanDisk that are still in operation. Good product, and have been reliable.

Superb, reliable, easy to setup product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these drives to upgrade older computers, laptops and desktops. If a person has had a machine for 2 years and still only uses less than 100 gig of space, I use one of these and clone it with their old drive. Add memory and a graphics card and you have machine that runs almost like new. You won't be disappointed.

New life for an old Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Mac Mini became unbearably slow. I was about to retire it and get a new one. Then I realize I don't have many things on the HDD. 240GB will be enough. I got this SSD and clone the HDD over. Plug in the Mac and boost up in 30 seconds. It used to take about 5 minutes to boost. This SSD gave my Mac a 2nd chance.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.240GB SSD for $80 was hard to pass up. I bought 4 of these for myslef and others and then mirrored the existing drives onto these. These have performed quite well, and run plenty fast. An SSD is the best upgrade you can make for the money and I will probably purchase another one for future use in another computer.

Second one just as good as the first.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one of these I have purchased and I continue to have good service out of these drives. The first is in my laptop and the second is in my desktop as a second drive at the moment though I may still move it to the main drive.

9 year old PC is alive again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a 5 year old 7200hd that was running hot and beginning to stall. Im sure I pushed it to the edge of failure as I procrastinated for a year complaining about how slow it was getting. One day it was just crawling to pull up an excel file so I got fed up with it and ran to BB to get this SSD. I could've bought this online at the other stores, but my patience is limited and since they price match, it was an easy decision. I installed a clean windows 7 ultimate in less than 10 minutes and it has been running like a champ ever since. Speeds are excellent and I love not hearing a drive spin up and click click anymore. Get this drive, you wont be disappointed.

Good SSD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a larger SSD but, this one was on sale and in stock. This unit met my needs. When I built my computer I installed an SSD as my C drive and only keep the OS and programs on it. I wanted to try an upgrade to Windows 10 but had my usual concerns. I used this drve to clone my C drive then do the upgrade. The drive worked fine, the upgrade not so much. I still have Win 10 on it but, my system is running on the origional SSD C drive. Too many things quit working on Windows 10.

Works Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using this as the main drive in my Ham Radio computer, boots very fast and my programs load almost instantly. I use Iolo system mechanic deluxe to keep the system tuned and Norton for firewall and antivirus. They both work seamlessly with my Windows 7 OS. so far I'm very pleased with the results.

Add new life to older computers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I updated my 5 year old Dell desktop to the SanDisk SSD when I upgraded to Windows 10. Boot time is blazing fast. Usability is almost like a tablet. It's fast and very responsive. Remember to run tweaks like turn off your swap file, no defrag, no indexing since those aren't needed with an SSD drive.

Great addition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added this to a 2 year old laptop and although I gave up some storage, the speed was worth it. From power on to login screen is about 12 seconds! It use to take 30-45. Most things are stored in the cloud so storage size is not a problem.
