Bought this for the Windows 10 upgrade. After I got my key, I swapped drives, reinstalled windows 10, and it's been fast and flawless. It comes packed in with some info about a Sandisk firmware updater that just flat out wouldn't work on Windows 8.1 x64 or Windows 10 x64 but who cares, great product.

not the fastest SSD out there but definitely does the job well upgraded a HP laptop from a few years ago and it just flies now. also since this doesn't have the power draw of the spindle disks this will let your battery last longer.

Purchased to put into a dead MacBook Pro. I also purchased a Samsung 1TB SSD and put it into another MacBook Pro. Both work and boot the computers much faster. The Samsung is faster for sure. That being said the SanDisk is a grood entry level SSD if you don't require a lot of storage space. The Samsung I think was $399 where the SanDisk was $79. Yes I got more speed and storage space with the Samsung but I don't think the speed and space justify that much of a difference in price.

Only time will tell how these SSD's will perform, but after reading reviews, and having used ONLY Sandisk USB drives for years because of their reliability, I chose these at BestBuy, because they're as inexpensive as almost anything I could order online, and I'd gladly pay tax to get it today.

I had heard that upgrading a mechanical hard drive to a solid state drive would offer a large performance boost, but I didn't expect such a huge jump. My PC would take about 2 minutes to fully boot to Windows, and then it would take about another 3-5 minutes to go from sluggish to usable. The installation of this SSD was quick and painless even for a layman like myself, and the machine now boots to Windows and becomes perfectly usable in about 15 seconds (and 10 of those seconds is the computer's POST, which can't be helped). All in all, a wonderful purchase that will hopefully prove to be reliable. So far so good after a couple of months.

I kept putting off getting my laptop updated to an SSD until the right product at the right price came along. I put it in my Dell laptop with a 1st gen i7 processor. Talk about bringing a slow box back to life. I'll never go back!

Thrilled with this solid state drive! Very easy to install in my 6 year old laptop. Runs cool & quiet. The speed difference from the old disk style drive is truly night and day!

Came from HDD. I think any sdd will due. I just got this one because I thought it was on sale but turns out it was just clever marketing. Any ssd will be a performance boost this one is a more well known brand but Im not experienced enough to know if this brand is better than any other.

I've never used a SSD as a boot disk in my computer before, so once I switched from a regular HDD I noticed the difference right away. As far as I can tell, this SSD is super fast (relative to my previous HDD) and worth every penny for the pure speed. Bottom line I'm very pleased with it.

I replaced my old hard drive with this solid state hard drive and have been very pleased. We are only 4 months into it, but everything from starting up to loading programs and even shutting the computer down is considerably faster. It was also very easy to install, about two minutes.

I put this in an old netbook and it really brought it back to life. I wasn't sure what to expect because of the price but this thing blew me away. I would recommend this to anyone whose running a mechanical any day. I'm thinking about putting this into my PS4 and see how it runs there.

If you're looking for some quick basic storage you should be fine with this. Data is easy to clone with the program you get through sandisk. Not the fastest ssd but it's much faster than any hard drive. feels cheaper than every other ssd I've purchased but still gets the job done.

I bought this card for $60 and dropped it into a $10 enclosure, then cloned my hard drive to it. It's like having a new Mac Mini. Apps start in a few seconds instead of making me endure the spinning beach ball for three forevers. I am very impressed and happy with my purchase.

This Sandisk is fast. I installed it to a 5year old 2nd gen i3 laptop. and now it boots faster than my 4th generation core i5 laptop with samsung 840evo ssd. I absolutely love this drive. It made me revive an old laptop and its owner couldnt be happier with snappy response.

Had a 10 dollar bestbuy gift card that someone gave Mr and was going yo expire. This went on sale for 50 dollars and tried it out. SSD worked perfect. No issues with installing Windows OS or running various photo editing software's. Can't beat what you get here for the price.

Have a 3 year old Dell laptop. Replaced main drive with ssd drive and put old drive in a caddy replacing my unused DVD drive. System boots fast, programs load fast. Going to keep this laptop for another 2-3 years. Cloned old drive to ssd. Took an hour total and less than $100.

Used this hard drive as a replacement in a 2011 MacBook Pro. Simple to install. Good performance so far.

Upgraded my laptop with a SATA II connection and it works. Faster boot time than the original HDD installed. I can't tell you the the read/write performance, I did not try to benchmark it. All I can say that it made my laptop faster and I'm satisfied with the outcome.

My startup takes Less than a minute to be ready to use my computer Was easy to install and easy to clone my hard drive to this SSD. I wish I would have done this sooner. My research showed the price was right inline with Best Buy competitors. I would buy this product again

This hard drive is faster than my old one but at the same time doesn't seem as fast as my Crucial hard drive in my desktop. The included software such as the SSD monitoring is super helpful and a nice freebie. Also If you want to clone drives a trial for apricorn or some such thing is included that allows a nice quick clean cloning tool download, you still need the cable to clone if using laptop drives but that's cheap in and of itself.
