I needed to freshen a 4 year old laptop. Replacing a 100 Gb hard disk with a 240 Gb SSD increased the speed, lowered temperatures, extended battery life, doubled disk capacity, all for under $100. A lot cheaper than buying a new laptop.

So far so good. It's large enough to hold the OS and any files we would normally use. The laptop is just used for general surfing basically. The bootup time is great and so is the speed while running. I got a great buy at only $67 somehow.

I have bought 2 of these now to upgrade an older laptop and netbook. They have worked great with Acronis as the software. You will have to format the drive before you can do anything with it, but other wise it was a great replacement.

Great speed I added it for my Mac mini and I can see much more performance value.

I picked this SSD up during Black Friday weekend, so the price was right. Had it installed, and it speeds up my laptop very quickly. There's almost no down-time for anything I'm doing on the laptop, because of this SSD. Great Buy!

This was on sale, had a good read speed and and acceptable write speed. It's not a fancy ultra fast unit but it's a solid very fast drive. I installed it as a media drive fro mt Mac Mini that already has a faster SSD as a boot dive. 4 stars only because there are better units available but I needed just this.

Got a Toshiba Satelite to dump. Before dumping tried putting SSD and checking if I can use it for kids/web browsing. Got this SSD and couldn't have been happier. With Ubuntu, laptop starts in seconds. File transfers are breeze.

I bought the drive to replace a hard drive in a laptop after its unfortunate death. While 240GB seems small it works for my uses paired with NAS and cloud storage. The speed of boot of Windows 10 jumped from around 45 seconds on a HDD to around 10-20 seconds on this SSD. Do not expect to get Intel SSD performance out of this economical drive. Needed to increase the performance of an older laptop still rocking a 5400 rpm drive and I'm happy to say that this sped things up in a major way. Now booting into Windows is quick and the OS loads up quickly as well. Everything is more responsive in general. Programs open quicker and large files copy over faster as well. If your machine is feeling a little sluggish and you are using a mechanical HD then switching to an SSD might be the upgrade you need.

Replaced this with my wife's old hard drive in her 5 year old Macbook Pro and it is brand new again. Went from crawling to blazing speeds. Easy install and lightweight.

This drive isn't advertised with coming with migration software, but it has simple software to move your existing hard drive over to this one. The performance matches other competitors and has no issues so far. Great drive

highly recommended. about the biggest upgrade you can do to an old laptop. don't need to spend an arm and a leg to get the fastest ssd. this will already feel like a huge upgrade over the previous slow spinning drive.

I have a computer that's about 3 years old. It was time for a reboot. I always pull the old hard drive so I don't actually loose anything. Rebooted with this one and installed Windows 10. Super easy. No problems.

I was upgrading my computer to Windows 10 and decided to take advantage of a solid state drive speed and reliability over my old 80GB IDE and this fit the benefits of capacity and price for my main drive. easy installation and setup. Just be sure to have a serial cable to install and power cable available from your power supply as it does not come with one. Also, you may need a bracket to fit in standard 3.5" HDD slot. My computer recognized right away and began installation in no time.

Great, affordable drive. If you are looking for an SSD for your OS, this is the way to go. I go from power on to Windows in under 15 seconds. My old hard drive was taking over 3 minutes! Easy to set up, recommended.
