I bought a new computer 3 years ago. Unfortunately I had trouble with the hard drive. In March 2016, the hard drive locked and could not be repaired. A Geek Squad member suggested the SanDisk SSD Plus Solid strategy drive. From complete shutdown, the hard drive takes only 5 seconds. The old drive took at least 15 minutes from shutdown. Solid state is definitely worth the cost. All new computers should have SanDisk hard drives when purchased.

After having a hard drive crash in my wife's laptop, I stopped in and talked with one of the techs at Best Buy. I was recommended the solid state as a dependable replacement. I did install the hard drive myself but ended up having Best Buy Geek Squad attend to getting my operating system back working and have not had any issues with my laptop since then. I highly recommend the solid state. Best part is no moving parts to fail.

Great product but if you are replacing an existing operating drive, you'll need a utility to image your old drive to this one. Also might need a partioning utility to resize things.

I buy these because they're inexpensive and do wonders to increase the speed of most everyday operations. I know my criticism is superficial, but I'd like the enclosure itself to not feel so cheap.

Ordered to replace a laptop harddrive in an older machine. While it's not the quickest out there, it's definitely more that this old Dell can handle. The price was right for 240GB.

This SSD is an excellent choice to upgrade an older or otherwise average system. Vastly superior performance compared to traditional platter-based drives and at a very affordable price point.

I have not had any problems with SANDISK SSD Drives, in this series. I use them to replace HDD's that go bad, or to speed up slower older laptops and desktops, that don't warrant top speed SSD's. I have had no failures yet, and successfully speeds up the computers and make them capable of Windows 10. All my friends and family I do this for are very happy and surprised how fast their computer has become.

Opt'd for the SSD instead of a regular HD. Easy install and works great for a gamer. Besides, you can always install a SATA HD drive later on, if you find you need it.

I love that the prices are going down on SSD's. Adds years to the life of a PC to swap one in. Get the best buy kit for copying your data to the other drive. Easy.
