Construction feels a bit flimsy but the performance upgrade is worth it.

I had a 7200 RPM HD (1 TB) in my laptop prior to purchasing this SSD. WoW! My boot time went from about 1:22 to about 7 seconds! Very great buy for the price; I got it while it was on sale for $65.

I bought this to replace an older 1tb drive. Its designed to work on a new bus (6 instead of 3 like mine) but even on the older one it still is such a great boost to my over all perf.

Very Fast drive, finally got windows 10 working on it. Pro tip: if you upgraded from a previous version of windows to 10 for free you use the original versions key to activate it!

Works as advertised. Benchmarked the item and works within acceptable tolerance from advertised specs. No stripped or barbed female threads for installation.

I was searching for a 7mm thin SATA drive and could not find one in the local store. So I purchased this 240 GB SSD because it was very thin and would fit in the thin laptop I was working with. This drive worked just as a regular Sata drive with no issues. The price was the same price as a regular 500GB Sata drive and the usage was going to be in a laptop that has very light daily usage so I have no concerns about longevity of the drive.

This is more like buying a OEM bare drive than a retail item. You get the bare SSD and a microscopic installation manual that only shows you how to plug it in. D'oh. If you have spare power & SATA 3 cables and know how to download & use XXClone or other freeware to migrate your old C drive to the new SSD, and you know how to change BIOS to AHCI mode, and you know how to turn on Windows Trim command, then it's a decent enough deal. But save yourself a lot of headaches and get the Samsung SSD - it comes with software that automacically does the time consuming work for you.

Added this drive to an old celeron laptop with 4gb of ram and it running really nice now !
