Write Protected after first 5 minutes of use

The drive became extremely hot after about 2-3 minutes, and stopped responding - I got an error that the drive was not found. At this point the drive became *write protected* - no matter what I've tried, I could not make it writable again. I'm a computer professional with a degree in computer science and over 10 years of experience.. Sandisk, I want my money back.

Does the Job

My only issue, which prevents me from giving it 5 stars, is that when the USB connector is slid back (protected), the connector face is still exposed. There's no cap to keep the dust and dirt out. So, you have to be careful when transporting/storing it.
