It's a thumb drive....all it needs to do is accept and keep data. I wanted to copy all my CD's (about 600 of them) in a lossless mode to fully utilize the 36 speaker stereo in my new vehicle. Pretty simple. But, if (like me) you initially went with a less expensive option from the world's leading on-line retailer you can learn a painful lesson....I though I would save a few $ by getting an off-brand. The off-brand WAS NOT 3.0 as advertised, needed to be reformatted (took literally 50 hours) and still failed. So I stepped up and bought this SanDisk product. It performed flawlessly. No issues...period. My lesson is learned.

I can't say enough about this device. My entire music collection is on it and it was quite easy to transfer my collection to it.I drove from New York to California and back to New York and didn't hear the same song twice ! Love it !!

Does exactly what it's supposed to with good speed and so far has been totally reliable. It does get quite hot though with sustained use. So inexpensive, how they can be making profit? ;-)

Highly recommended item. Just as compact & easy to use as the smaller memory size equivalents. 256 GB will keep you going for quite a while & this design is extremely portable & cool looking! Definitely worth the purchase!

My SanDisk holds all my movies and is so practical in saving space and weight when traveling abroad and airline luggage weight limits is so stick and minimal, works perfect fast good quality play back and saving space.

Needed to back up files on my old Windows 7 All-in-one. Have a large file of photos as well as important documents. I bought it because it was on sale as well as I trust the brand. It was easy to use.

Computer detected drive immediately. No drivers to install. Plenty of storage space. Quick transfers with USB 3.0. I would recommend for anyone who needs to back up a lot of files quickly.

Great value while providing super storage space that is real compact.

I purchase these flash drives to backup files and place offsite. The size is more than I need for my critical files and the price is very reasonable. There are other drives that may be physically smaller but than I’d risk losing it. Sandisk is a recognize name in the flash drive industry, I have many old ones that still work. One drawback of these drives is they’re a bit slow (compared to hard drive based drives) if you’re moving large files.

This flash drive has plenty of storage. With file sizes increasing on a daily basis you need something small and compact to move files around. This workes great. Especially to plugging into the Xbox, or a smart tv to play movies.

Super fast 3.0 for transfering information. The storage capacity, just makes it great since I don't need to have several additional drives. Couldn't be happier.

Recently sent in my old cassette tapes to a video transfer service to get them switched to MP4 format. Sent one of these in with my tapes for them to store the videos on. Worked like a charm, didn't have any storage issues, and it plays back just fine. Have used these in the past as well and never ran into any loss of data problems.

I prefer SanDisk over other companies. Their designs are user friendly and easy to use. And, with 256GBs, you don't have to worry about running out of backup space. I have peace of mind when I carry this flash drive.

It's great holds a lot of content and is super fast!

...Great flash drive for handling files necessary for work or recreation (documents, pic files, music, video, etc), very convenient to plug in, transfer/copy files, then grab and go. Expansive storage capacity exceeds many other flash drives (256GB!).
