I bought this July 4, 2016, but it is now the end of April 2017 and my USB flash drive has stopped working; I tried it on four different devices and nothing. It lasted less than a year. I did use this a lot though, storing videos and accessing them 2 or 3 times a week. Lesson: make sure anything put on a flash drive has a backup.
