    It’s a nice item but it needs a cover. I thought maybe there would be one in the packaging but no such luck. I don’t know why they would just leave the edge unprotected. While it does retract, it really is vulnerable.

    I use thumb drives to backup documents, photos and music on my PC and laptop. I prefer SanDisk due to their reliability and retractable USB connection.

    The Sandisk thumb drive is a reasonably priced fairly well built, good quality instant access device to carry programs in your pocket. Also great for storage for data recovery in end user support, as well as simply storing pictures, documents and music etc for every day use. The 256Gb is about $30.
