He said absolutely. When I downloaded all my music, it didn’t play in my car. Very frustrating. Good thing I traded it for another type of flash drive with my brother and that one worked.

Received Defective Product

Unfortunately the drive has some how become write protected. I did research trying to get it unwrite protected, but nothing works. I can't even reformat it to remove the data that's on it. Can't even return it because it has sensitive files on it. So stuck with a worthless USB Flash Drive.

I've purchased several of the same size. After a few uses, pushing the Drive into a computer or Adapter, the metal end-piece will slip inside the unit; doesn't catch. You then must hold on to the thumb movable part to keep the metal end extended to go into the computer or adapter. There's a little catch that doesn't catch. I've also had two of these that become "unreadable" after just a few months of use. I've taken back to the store and they cannot get them to work in their computers either. Not a dependable product.

We recently bought one that was supposed to have a certain amount of gigs when we got home and put it into the computer. It was 10 gig short you’re paying full retail price when realistically you should be getting wholesale price for What you actually had purchase

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i got this usb drive to move my photos and videos, and it does the job. here what i found: advantages: • very fast, much quicker than old usb 2.0, i can transfer my movies in no time. • big storage space, 256GB is enough for all my files, so much room. • the password protection is good, i can keep my private stuff safe. • it is small and easy to carry, fits in my pocket without trouble. disadvantages: • sometimes the usb drive is a bit slow to start when i plug it in, not always fast. • it feels a bit plasticky, maybe not very durable, but okay for the price. • there was no clear instruction on how to use the encryption, took me a while to figure out. overall, this usb drive is very helpful for transferring big files quickly and it is nice to have so much space. it’s not perfect, but good for the price.

Posted .Hi, what you are observing is the difference in the definition of one Gigabyte by Operating Systems versus all Storage device manufacturers. Operating systems use a binary system which will present a lower number of GBs than the decimal based system used by Storage Device manufacturers to define the capacity of products. This is due to the binary system representing a GBs as a higher number of actual bytes. For example: Operating systems define a 1GB as 1,073,741,824 Bytes. Storage device manufacturers define 1GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes. Also, you may research on the internet by reading tech blogs/ articles to know more about the same. I don't know how much I had on it but now windows will not recognize it. I tried 3 different computers and different USB ports on each, so I know it is not a computer issue, the flash drive is dead. I can't even erase it except by smashing it. Just bought another at Costco for 1/2 the price.

Tried reformatting both on Linux and Windows, screen continues to periodically flash black. I tried searching the internet to troubleshoot - most of my results are from people booting from USB whose screens black out permanently. Consulted with a software engineer who was concerned it was running some kind of malware in the background. Does this to every computer I plug it into, as long as I am using a file on it. I bought it a few months ago so will not be able to return it; it will probably end up going into the trash. Waste of money!
