Given that WD has a controlling interest in Sandisk, this makes sense. I am using one of each in a mirrored RAID---simlar performance.

If you want faster, there is NVMe drives, but it's a game of increasing costs and diminishing returns. For me, this was a great "bang for your buck" purchase.
