Max theoretical speed on sata III is 600 mb/s, about 1/4 the speed of nvme drives. This should be cheaper, it’s old technology and this drive in particular has lagging write speeds. Any Sata III SSD can get fast read speeds, but the amount of nand flash dictated the write speed and it’s consistently below 300 mb/s on this drive. The Samsung pro evo and qvo lines are much better and faster.

The loading times are definitely quicker than a regular HDD. While 2TB is a lot of space games keep getting bigger so YMMV! Was very easy to install and format. Would definitely buy it again!
