I needed something to transfer large files from home to school and 2.0 drives weren't doing it anymore. Upgrading to 3.0 was a big help. And, if you accidently leave it in the lab at school the all red color scheme makes it easy to differentiate in the lost and found box among all the black usb drives that everyone else uses lol.
