The package says 100 MB/s but that is only the top speed of USB 3.0. The actual speed isn't that high, but it is still better than USB 2.0 drives.

I haven't had any problems with this USB 3 drive from San Disk. I have been happy with the transfer speeds. A huge plus for me is the red color. The color makes seeing it on a desk or somewhere in the room much easier than looking for a black thumb drive. Your desk and room may yield different results. Also, buying this drive on sale for $9.99 was a great deal.

I love the convenience of being able to take some of my work with me when I travel. I am an amateur photographer and this is the way I can move some my photos from my desktop computer to an iPad for viewing (I have a converter to be able to attach a flash drive to my iPad). The storage capacity is wonderful.

Got this to update an Xbox which worked fine. I then left the flash drive in my pocket and a couple of days later my wife says, "Hey, I found this in the bottom of the washing machine." I thought, well that was an expensive single use drive but i put it in a bag of rice overnight and then plugged it in and it has been working fine since.

Easy to use, works well, and compact with a lot of storage.
