The Laptops have only 32 gigs of ram when there is a big update there is never enough memory. These USBs' are time and stress savers.

I had to reformat the drive using Microsoft ntfs because I was using file sizes that were larger then 4 GB, however, if you do not have files that big you can leave it on the default file format it comes with from the factory.
