If you exert any pressure to push the connector into the computer / laptop, the connector slides back in. You have to keep your finger on the slide mechanism to prevent this from happening. It seems like there is a detent on the flash drive to lock it in the outward position, but it doesn't work well. Also the unit is just slightly too thick to slide two of these, side-by-side, into my laptop USB ports.
