great device for external storage on the new macbook pro with only usb c input. sandisk is the industry standard and trusted by many pros

Extremely quick transfer speeds but also generates a lot of heat.

Bought for my son for college. I like having both types of connection in one device for the most compatibility.

This item does most of what it is supposed to. Good speed, everything works. The only negative is that the slider to switch from USB-A to USB-C is not very solid and doesn't lock into place.

So happy that I found this. Love that it can be used with pc and MacBook because it has usb c and usb 3.1.

This is a good product is you have one of the newest generations of MacBook or MacBook Pro to usele this flashdrive to transport data to/from a traditional USB drive to/from a USB-C port.

Wish I still had this drive. WOrked great transfering movies to my macbook and to my phone. It's pretty small so lost it....somewhere.

But for now this is the most versatile and beat priced drives you can get that's actually fast enough to use

This is one excellent flash drive that has both USB-C and USB ports in one very small unit, downloading/uploading is fast.

I like the universal option having both the USB and the USB-C but it does not stay hooked into either one and will disconnect unexpectedly.

I purchased this a couple of months ago, and opened it for use yesterday. The Regular Type A connection was very slow, and took a long time to transfer text and miscellaneous document files, after the transfer when I ejected the device from the system and went to unplug, the USB drive was really hot. I shut down the desktop and waited for the USB drive to cool before moving it the laptop and using the type C connection, which was a faster transfer. However the USB drive was once again extremely hot to touch and remove. I did not open this item and use it right after purchase, and it has now passed the return stage, otherwise I would have returned it immediately, will reach out to Sandisk regarding this issue.
