I purchased this drive on sale and dollar to gigabyte it's one of the best deals out there. I use it for gaming and video editing and it excels at both. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

It greatly improves speed and even battery life since there’s no moving parts. It’s a simple process of direct replacement and then formatting the drive to Mac Extended Journal. Once that’s done you can reinstall OSX from scratch or from a Time Machine backup. You will be amazed at the speed difference.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought a refurbished Lenovo x230 laptop, and replaced the used SSD (128GB) with this one. OpenSuse Leap 15.0 installed and ran without any problems. All I did was edit a config file to disable the swap file, to reduce writing to the drive. Leap 15.0 handles everything else, from what I read on the openSuse forums. Booting is FAST! About 8 - 10 seconds to get to the login screen, then about 3 - 4 more seconds to start the desktop.

Changed my laptop's hard drive, Great difference

I ended up needing to replace it and the tech repair informed me that a solid state drive would be the better choice than a mechanical hard drive. I bought this one because it was on sale too. My laptop is faster than ever. Takes about 3-5 seconds to turn off and on. My only downside is that it's half the memory of what I used to have.
