Installed in very good but old & slow laptop computer. Drive works great thus far (recent installation) but only gave it (which was also to include a link to download 'cloning' software. It did but the software would not work for me so had to find another utility to do the cloning process. I'm surprised Western Digital (my understanding is that the they own SanDisk) hasn't made sure the cloning software works--100% of the time if instructions are followed. My advice--if you have the same challenge search and run a free version Mirium--thier's will get the job done and you will have made a great update your computer.

My 2012 MacBook Pro was acting up and couldn't do anything on it without getting a spinning wheel icon. I decided to replace the original hard drive with the SanDisk 512GB to see if it would breathe some life back into it. Man, was I surprised. Booting the computer is 2-3 times faster than before and opening apps is close to instantaneous. Very happy with this product. I feel like I got a new computer for $70!

Best economical option to bring an old AMD-FX 8-core 970A (no m2) slot computer back to life for a friends daughter. Loaded Ubuntu Linux 64bit on it and it works really well. Fast and affordable. It replaced the Sata drive I transferred for backing up a PCI 4.0 M2 drive in my new Ryzen build at the least cost possible.

This is my first purchase of a SanDisk product that wasn’t a flash drive or an sd card. The former have always stood the test of time. I had my heart set on a Samsung EVO, but with the price difference for the same size drive, I decided to try the SanDisk Ultra. I am pretty confident that I made the right decisión. To whit, I just purchased a EVO for my laptop, and ran a SSD disk performance utility on both drives. While the EVO did have better stats, it wasn’t significant in real world stats unless you are reading or writing huge amounts of data on a regular basis. This bears out in day to day use as both drives seem similar in snapiness. Well done SanDisk, your Ultra line appears to be a good combination of price and performance.

These Sandisk SSDs helped pave the way and their legacy shows it. ANY time these are in stock I'll grab a couple just to have! They'll hum along and do their job without a fit over n over again. You could go with a faster drive, but if you don't have the latest and greatest hot rod machine, save a buck and Take this reliable drive!
